And for the the final stop of our trip, we return to Rome.
This beautiful city is ALWAYS worth a return trip to, as there is never enough time to explore all of the historic and modern awesomeness that it has to offer.
It is one of our favorites.

And for lunch, we opted to eat at the Termini Station in Rome. I know, you don't think of a train station first when you are looking for a good Italian meal, but they have created an entire wing just to support the art of authentic Roman Italian cuisine, and it is hard to decide between all of the choices! We ate here twice, and the food was incredible both times!

Once our bellies were filled, we ventured to the Colosseum.
We specifically waited until later in the day (as we learned on our previous trip here in 2011), that if you go after 3p, everyone is gone and you have the place practically to yourself. And it stays open until sunset. And we were there until sunset; actually getting ourselves pushed out of the gates, as we were trying to absorb every single moment of being there.
It was more magical than I remember the first time being:
